Uros – Amantani and Taquile Islands

DAY 1: On this tour we will visit first the islands of the Uros taking a comfortable boat from the port of Puno (30 minutes) after visiting 2 floating islands will continue with the journey to the island of Amantani (2 ½ hours) and arrive at the average noon where we will be warmly welcomed by local families. Accompanied by the families we will hike (30 min uphill) to local houses Amantani Island, where we have lunch typical Andean food on the island. After settling and rest we will hike to the top of the island to meet the Pachamama Inca ceremonial temples and Pachatata. After enjoying the beautiful views of the lake and its splendor, we wait until sunset to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world! Finally we return to dine at local houses, overnight families organized a welcome party (optional) where we can dance and wear the local dress all accompanied by local musicians.

DAY 2:  We started the day with a typical breakfast and then descend to the port of Amantani (8 am), we will take our boat to Taquile Island, walk uphill to the main square, where we can see the island and learn more about the customs and textiles of the island, after lunch we descend to the port of Amantani (1:00 pm.) to return to Puno where we arrive at 4:00 pm averaging.
