First Day: Lima - Cusco + City Tour
A.M. Reception at the Airport of Cusco. Transfer to the Hotel. Welcome coca tea.
14:00 p.m. City Tour: Cathedral, Koricancha or Temple of Sun and 4 archaeological monuments, Sacsayhuamán, Q'enqo, Pukapukara Tambomach'ay. The tour finishes at 18:00 hrs.
Second Day: Sacred Valley
9:00 a.m. Tour to Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will visit the traditional “Handicraft fair of Pisac where people from different communities dressed in their colorful typical way and sell their products.
Buffet lunch in a tourist restaurant in Urubamba town, beautiful place located in the heart of the Sacred Valley with a leafy vegetation.
Returning to Cusco you will visit Ollantaytambo, small town that maintains an alive image of Inca•s Planning protected by its imposing strength with temples, platforms and walls. And finally visit to the Indian Town of Chinchero with colonial buildings made by the Incas. From this place you will be able to see the Andes Mountains in all its magnitude. The tour finishes at 18:00 approximately.
Third Day: Machupicchu
05:45 a.m. Transfer Hotel – Train Station to begin the trip to Machupicchu, The train goes all the way through Vilcanota River or Sacred River in the Incas time. The trip takes about 4 hours.
Arrive to Aguas Calientes Town. From this place a bus is going to take you up to the Lost City of the Incas: Machupicchu. Built on the inaccessible top of the Eastern Andean Mountains, the city constituted a natural fortress against the enemy. At 2450 m. of altitude it was scientifically discovered by Hiram Bingham of Yale University in 1911.
P.M. Return to Cusco by train. (Over night optional in Aguas Calientes)arriving to Cusco at 20:30 hrs approximately.
Fourth Day:
Transfer Hotel - Airport to Lima
Includes:
Transfers in/out.
Train tickets roundtrip to the Historical Sanctuary of Machupicchu.
Entrances fee to all the mentioned places, tour guide.
Buffet lunch in Sacred Valley.
Not includes:
Lunch in Machupicchu. Air tickets Lima - Cusco - Lima
