First day / Reception and setting off towards the Huallaga River's canyons with stops at sites of special scenic and ecological interest en route. Arrival at the Pumarinri Lodge and a free afternoon to enjoy the swimming pools. Dinner and sleeping overnight at the Lodge.

Second day / Breakfast. A trek through the jungle to the Pucayaquillo waterfalls. Lunch. In the afternoon, activities at the Lodge and a visit to the Chumía rapids. Dinner. Sleeping overnight at the Lodge.

Third day / Breakfast. Setting off towards the native community of Chasuta. Arrival at the port and departure by boat to negotiate the Huallaga River, visiting riverside communities, rapids and the island of Shilcayo. Return to Chasuta, lunch and a visit to the traditional Wasichay pottery centre. Return to the Lodge, dinner and sleeping overnight.

Fourth day / Breakfast. Return to Tarapoto and a free morning for shopping. Lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and departure.

Fifth day / Breakfast. Tour of the Laguna de Sauce, crossing the Huallaga River on a pulley-hauled raft. Includes a boat trip on the lagoon with stops at the best beaches for swimming. Traditional-style lunch. Return to the Lodge and dinner.

(N.B.: You can also opt to return to Tarapoto to spend the last night at the Hotel Río Shilcayo).
