3 Days/2 Nights, daily from/to Quito

Quito, one of the oldest and second highest capital towns of South America, is a city famous for its ancient monuments and various art treasures from colonial times. Discover the pompous cathedrals, the bustling and charming squares and narrow cobbled alleys in the colonial centre.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Quito & Panoramic City Tour by Night
Welcome and transfer to your hotel. Afterwards a panoramic city night tour awaits you. From the top of the Cerro Panecillo, 183m above the city, you will have a fine view of the city below and its surrounding volcanoes. After enjoying a nice welcome cocktail, we proceed to the heart of the city, the Plaza de Independencia. (-/-/-)

Day 2: Quito Sight Seeing Tour
Experience Quito with an extensive sight-seeing tour in the old town including Plaza Grande, the President’s Palace, the grandiose churches El Sagrario, La Compañía y La Merced, Plaza Santo Domingo and Plaza de San Francisco and its monastery - the gem of America’s colonial art. (B/-/-)

In the afternoon you may choose among the following activities:
a) Discover Mitad del Mundo, the memorial of the equator incl. museum visit
b) Take the cable car to Cruz Loma (4.100 m), below the volcano Pichincha (4.698 m).
c) Visit the archeological exposition of the “Museo del Banco Central.” (closed on Mondays)

Day 3: Transfer to the airport and departure to your next destination or extension program: “Ruta del Sol“ or flight to Baltra, Galapagos. If you are interested in the extension program, please let us know. We are happy to provide you with any further information. (B/-/-)
