Chiclayo Classic 3 days/ 2 nights

DAY 01: CHICLAYO IN / CITY TOUR

Arrival and transfer to hotel. We visit the city: Parque Principal (Main Park), “Santa Maria” Cathedral, Municipality, San Antonio Church, Santa Veronica Church, Republican Houses, Mercado de Brujos (Shaman’s market), also called “Modelo” Market, where shamans sell their mysthic products, herbs, plants and potions, which are normally used at the “mesadas” (shamanic ritual). Overnight in Chiclayo.

DAY 02: TOUR HUACA RAJADA / TUCUME PYRAMIS / ROYAL TOMBS OF SIPAM MUSEUM

We start the excursion going to Huaca Rajada Archaeological Complex, the place where the Tomb of the Lord of Sipan was found. Here we will also visit the site museum. After this visit we go to the Tucume Pyramids Arachaeological Complex, a valley with 26 pyramids of mud bricks like “Huaca Larga”, “Huaca Las Estacas”, “Huaca 1”, among others, which are witnesses of the most outstanding time of the Lambayeque culture. We will also visit the site museum, which houses Lambayeque culture ceramics. We continue our journey visiting the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum in Lambayeque, where we find the original remains of the Lord of Sipan, and also more than 400 pieces like: earrings, necklaces, jewelry, ornaments and headdresses made of gold, silver, turquoise, spondyllus, cotton and feathers. Overnight in Chiclayo.

DAY 03: SICAN MUSEUM / POMAC FOREST

We will discover the amazing Sican Culture, visiting the Sican National Museum, located in Ferreñafe city, there we can find the pieces found in the Tomb of the Lord of Sican, in “Huaca El Oro” (“Temple of The Gold”) in the Batan Grande Complex. According to the legend, it was God Naylamp who made the Sican people, and is shown in many of the ceramics. The Sican or Lambayeque are knwon for their metallurgical art like funerary masks made of gold or the “tumi” (ceremonial knife). Then we will head to the Pomac Forest Historical Sanctuary, which is full of carobs trees and zapotes, and is home of plenty of fauna. The Complex comprises 20 pyramids. We will visit “Huaca El Oro” and “Huaca las Ventanas” (Temple “The Windows”); also the milenary tree, a carob tree which is more than 500 years old. We will go up to the vantage point from where we get a great view of the valley and the surroundings of the dry forest. At an appropriate time, transfer to the airport or bus agency.
